My sculptures construct an imagined biology that ranges from the microscopic to the macroscopic, blending animal and plant forms with a new perspective. They are shaped by Ernst Haeckel's intricate organic illustrations, the raw constructed reliefs of Lee Bontecou's wall sculptures, and the austere unity of Louise Nevelson's monochromatic assemblages. Rendered entirely in white, the works depart from the color of living nature, yet their undulating forms and restless patterning create a convincing sense of motion and life.
